Toyota Motor Q3 US Sales Rise 1% Y/Y on Strong EV Deliveries

Toyota Motor Corporation (TM - Free Report) reported a slight year-over-year increase in its third-quarter U.S. sales. Its North American unit, Toyota Motor North America (“TMNA”), sold 633,223 vehicles, up 0.6% from the year-ago period on both a volume and DSR basis. Electrified vehicle sales increased 28.5% year over year to 363,367 units on both measures, representing 57.4% of total quarterly sales.

The unit reported strong U.S. sales growth in September 2026, selling 201,306 vehicles during the month. Sales increased 8.4% year over year on a volume basis and 4% on a daily selling rate (DSR) basis. Electrified vehicle sales reached 117,215 units, rising 37.8% year over year on a volume basis and 32.2% on a DSR basis. Electrified models accounted for 58.2% of total sales. Toyota and Lexus together currently offer 32 electrified models at U.S. dealerships.

The Toyota division recorded September sales of 171,469 vehicles, up 7.9% on a volume basis and 3.6% on a DSR basis year over year. For the third quarter, sales totaled 540,167 vehicles, up 0.5% year over year on both volume and DSR basis.

Meanwhile, the Lexus division sold 29,837 vehicles in September, marking an 11.4% increase year over year on a volume basis and a 6.9% rise on a DSR basis. For the third quarter, Lexus sales reached 93,056 vehicles, up 1.6% year over year on both a volume and DSR basis.
