Park’s Margins and Profitability Improve

Gross profit increased 39.5% year over year to $7.1 million from $5.1 million. Gross margin expanded to 34.3% from 31.2%, reflecting improved profitability despite higher production costs.

Selling, general and administrative expenses increased to $2.4 million from $2.3 million. However, these expenses declined to 11.6% of revenues from 13.9%, indicating improved operating leverage.

Operating earnings increased 66.3% to $4.7 million from $2.9 million.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 55.4% to $5.3 million from $3.4 million, with the adjusted EBITDA margin reaching 25.4%.

Missile Systems and Aerospace Programs Support Growth

Chairman and CEO Brian Shore highlighted stronger demand across missile systems and commercial aerospace programs.

Missile systems contributed $5.7 million in quarterly revenues, while GE Aerospace engine programs generated $8.3 million. Ablative materials manufactured using C2B fabric accounted for $1.8 million in sales.

Management emphasized growing opportunities in the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement program, supported by efforts to replenish missile inventories and expand interceptor production.

Lockheed Martin's agreement with the U.S. Department of War to increase PAC-3 MSE interceptor production capacity from 600 annually to 2,000 represents a potential longer-term growth opportunity.

Airbus had delivered 4,741 A320neo-family aircraft cumulatively through August 2026 and maintained a backlog of approximately 7,571 aircraft, supporting prospects for increased demand for Park Aerospace’s engine-related materials.
However, management acknowledged that certain aerospace programs are progressing more slowly than originally anticipated.

Park Revises Its GE Program Outlook

Management expects fiscal 2027 GE Aerospace engine program revenues of approximately $32-$35 million, reflecting a more conservative assessment of customer production schedules.

Shore explained that the adjustment primarily reflects the timing of engine production ramp-ups rather than concerns about longer-term program opportunities.

Management expects GE Aerospace engine program revenues of $8 million to $8.5 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2027, compared with $8.3 million in the second quarter.

Management also outlined a potential annual commercial aerospace revenue opportunity of approximately $62.3 million, based on aircraft production assumptions and estimated materials requirements, with realization dependent on future production rates.

PKE Provides Third-Quarter Guidance

For the third quarter of fiscal 2027, Park Aerospace expects revenues of approximately $21 million to $22.5 million.

Adjusted EBITDA is projected between $5 million and $5.8 million. Management indicated that the outlook reflects continued growth while accounting for variability in customer production schedules.

Other Developments at PKE

Park Aerospace entered into a term sheet with ArianeGroup in July 2026 covering the construction and establishment of a U.S.-based C2B fabric manufacturing facility. ArianeGroup committed $25 million in advance payments, subject to definitive agreements, to support the project.

The company also entered into a lease agreement for approximately 18 acres at Tulsa International Airport to develop additional manufacturing capacity. The planned investment totals approximately $65 million, including $45 million for a new facility and $10 million each for hot-melt and solution-treating equipment.

Park ended the quarter with approximately $114.8 million in cash and marketable securities and no long-term debt, providing financial flexibility to support these expansion initiatives.
