The discussion centered on deeper customer relationships, improving product monetization and capital flexibility. Executives also addressed lending concentration, technology platform growth and long-term return targets during the analyst Q&A.

SOFI Raises 2026 & 2027 Expectations

CEO Anthony Noto raised SoFi's 2026 adjusted net revenue outlook to $5.04 billion from $4.75-$4.85 billion. Adjusted EBITDA is projected at $1.66 billion, with adjusted earnings of 61 cents per share.

For 2027, management expects $6.4 billion in adjusted net revenues, indicating 27% growth, alongside $2.24 billion in adjusted EBITDA and adjusted earnings of 90 cents per share.

CFO Chris Lapointe told analysts that the 2027 projections assume two interest rate hikes and a 24% effective tax rate. Segment expectations include 25% growth in Lending, 35% in Financial Services and 25% in Technology Platform.

SoFi Emphasizes Deeper Member Engagement

Noto identified member growth, products per member and revenues per product as the company's principal long-term performance drivers.

Members increased 35% year over year to 17.1 million, while total products climbed 44% to 26.7 million. Products per member reached 1.56 from 1.47 a year earlier.

Management highlighted that 51% of new products were opened by existing members. Financial Services annualized revenues per product increased sequentially to $90 from $88, while Lending's adjusted metric reached $942 from $920.

SOFI Defends Lending Economics & Credit Quality

Lapointe highlighted continued lending demand, with total originations reaching $16.9 billion. Personal loan originations totaled $12.6 billion, supported by attractive risk-adjusted returns.

The estimated all-in personal loan net charge-off rate improved to 3.4%, declining 30 basis points sequentially. The consolidated net interest margin increased 16 basis points to 6.14%.

During Q&A, a TD Cowen analyst questioned the sustainability of rapid personal loan growth. Lapointe said that expansion in 2027 would increasingly involve home loans and student loan refinancing rather than the same magnitude of personal loan origination growth.

SoFi Details Capital & Funding Flexibility

Management emphasized that planned 2027 expansion would not require additional capital raising.

Lapointe cited a 17% total capital ratio, comfortably exceeding the 10.5% regulatory minimum. He explained that existing capital capacity and internally generated earnings would support lending growth.

Responding to a Mizuho analyst, Lapointe quantified approximately $29 billion in potential incremental risk-weighted asset capacity from existing resources and future capital generation. Management indicated that this capacity was not required to achieve its 2027 guidance.

SOFI Addresses Technology Platform Challenges

Technology Platform revenues declined 24% year over year to approximately $87 million, reflecting the previously disclosed departure of a large customer.

Excluding that customer, revenues increased 18%. Management expects the segment to return to 25% growth in 2027, supported by existing-client monetization and new relationships.

When a Scotiabank analyst questioned the segment's growth composition, Noto emphasized its dual role supporting internal operations and external clients. He identified payment processing, cloud-based banking infrastructure and fraud prevention among its strategic capabilities.

SoFi Outlines Longer-Term Expansion Priorities

Noto highlighted eight businesses generating more than $100 million each in annualized revenues, demonstrating the company's broader product diversification.

Management outlined a goal of reaching 100 million products by 2030. Its ambitions also include expanding the number of businesses exceeding significant annual revenue thresholds.

The overarching message remained focused on increasing customer lifetime value through product adoption and stronger unit economics. Management also reiterated its longer-term objective of achieving 20-30% returns on tangible common equity.
