Visa Inc. (V - Free Report) outlined its fiscal 2027 growth expectations during its fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings call, emphasizing resilient consumer spending, expanding value-added services and continued investment in emerging payment technologies.

Management also addressed elevated client renewals, pricing opportunities and the early commercialization of agentic commerce and stablecoins, while maintaining a measured outlook for profitability.

V Targets Double-Digit Growth in FY27

Chief financial officer Christopher Suh projected adjusted net revenue growth in the low double digits for fiscal 2027, supported by consumer payments, commercial and money movement solutions (CMS), and value-added services (VAS).

Adjusted operating expenses are expected to grow in the low double digits, modestly below revenues. Adjusted earnings per share growth is projected in the low double digits to low teens.

Suh expects fiscal first-quarter revenues to grow in the low double digits, with EPS growth at the low end of mid-teens. Management anticipates the second quarter will mark the year's revenue growth low point.

Visa Faces Higher Incentives and Renewal Activity

Management expects approximately 25% of payments volume to undergo contract renewals in fiscal 2027, compared with 20% in fiscal 2026.

During the question-and-answer session, analysts from Autonomous Research and Wolfe Research questioned the implications for pricing and profitability. Suh emphasized that incentives support long-term client relationships, although their growth is expected to accelerate.

Pricing contributions should remain comparable to fiscal 2026, with benefits increasingly concentrated in the second half. Management also flagged foreign-exchange volatility and Middle East travel uncertainty as headwinds.

V Sees Sustained Growth Across Payment Channels

Suh highlighted resilient spending, with U.S. payments volume increasing 10% year over year in the fiscal fourth quarter. Credit and debit volumes rose 11% and 9%, respectively.

Cross-border volume excluding intra-Europe increased 14%, supported by 13% travel growth and 17% e-commerce growth. Processed transactions advanced 10%.

Responding to Wells Fargo's questions about spending sustainability, CEO Ryan McInerney emphasized employment and real wage growth as underlying supports. However, he declined to establish how long the current spending momentum could persist.

Visa Expands Value-Added Services and Cybersecurity

McInerney highlighted VAS revenue growth of 30% in constant dollars to $14 billion during fiscal 2026. Management expects low-to-mid-20% growth in fiscal 2027.

The company is expanding cybersecurity, fraud prevention and banking infrastructure capabilities. Its pending $2.4 billion BioCatch acquisition would extend fraud protection further into account-level activity.

During discussions with Piper Sandler and Bernstein analysts, McInerney emphasized stronger client demand for integrated services. He identified cybersecurity, Pismo's banking infrastructure and advisory capabilities as important components of broader customer relationships.

V Advances Stablecoins and Agentic Commerce

McInerney reported that Visa's annualized stablecoin settlement volume exceeded $25 billion, increasing tenfold year over year. Its settlement infrastructure now supports 10 blockchains.

Visa Direct's stablecoin prefunding capability has entered commercial production. Responding to William Blair, McInerney confirmed that Visa intends to support multiple stablecoins and blockchains rather than favor a single network.

Agentic commerce also received considerable attention. Visa has nearly 50 AI partners operating in production. However, responding to Morgan Stanley, McInerney cautioned that agent-driven transactions remain small relative to Visa's overall business and are not expected to materially influence fiscal 2027 results.

Visa Maintains a Disciplined Investment Focus

Management's overarching message centered on balancing expansion into new payment technologies with sustained operating discipline.

Suh emphasized continued investment in infrastructure, cybersecurity and product development while preserving operating margins. The company also increased its quarterly dividend 16% to 78 cents per share.

Visa's fiscal fourth-quarter adjusted EPS of $3.48 beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.43. Revenues of $12.14 billion also surpassed the $12.08 billion estimate. These results provide context for management's fiscal 2027 growth expectations.

V's Zacks Rank and Style Scores Signal Mixed Prospects

Visa currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), reflecting a favorable near-term earnings estimate revision outlook. Its Momentum Score of A indicates comparatively strong momentum characteristics. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

However, Value and Growth Scores of D indicate less favorable characteristics in those categories. The combined VGM Score of D also limits the strength of its overall style-based profile despite its favorable rank.

The combination presents mixed signals for potential near-term performance, particularly outside momentum-focused strategies. Visa's Zacks Rank remains subject to change as analysts revise earnings estimates following the latest results.
