TT Benefits From Strong Commercial HVAC Demand

Reported bookings increased 21% to $7.25 billion, while the enterprise book-to-bill ratio reached 107%. All operating segments recorded ratios above 100%, indicating that orders exceeded revenues during the quarter.

Global applied organic bookings increased approximately 40%, supported by broad-based demand across commercial markets. Americas Commercial HVAC backlog increased approximately 80%, with strong demand from data centers and other core verticals. Services continued to account for roughly one-third of revenues, supported by a low-teens compound annual growth rate since 2020.

Trane Technologies Delivers Robust Revenue Growth

Organic revenues increased 16%, reflecting low-twenties growth in equipment and high-single-digit growth in services. Strong volume expansion and positive pricing supported revenues, while acquisitions also contributed to reported growth.

Americas revenues increased 21% to $5.65 billion and advanced 19% organically. Commercial HVAC revenues grew in the low twenties, led by applied solutions, which advanced more than 60%. Residential HVAC revenues increased approximately 20%, while transport revenues grew in the high single digits.

The company raised its 2026 Americas Commercial HVAC revenue growth outlook to 15-16% and its residential HVAC growth expectations to the high single digits.

TT's Operating Profit Rises Despite Margin Pressure

Adjusted operating income increased 15.4% to $1.36 billion. However, the adjusted operating margin contracted 40 basis points to 20.2%, reflecting elevated inflation, supply chain constraints and continued business investments.

Adjusted EBITDA increased 15.6% to $1.45 billion, while the corresponding margin declined 40 basis points to 21.4%. Volume growth, positive pricing and productivity gains partially offset cost pressures.

GAAP operating income increased 15.3% to $1.34 billion, although the GAAP operating margin contracted 40 basis points to 19.9%. GAAP continuing earnings increased to $4.79 per share from $3.82 in the prior-year quarter.

EMEA revenues increased approximately 1% to $755.8 million and advanced 2% organically. Adjusted operating income decreased 12.4% to $129.6 million, while the margin contracted 250 basis points to 17.2%. The conflict in the Middle East and higher costs to serve customers weighed on profitability.

Asia Pacific revenues increased 8% to $356 million and rose 7% organically. Adjusted operating income declined 10.8% to $66.2 million, with the margin contracting 390 basis points to 18.6%. Challenging conditions in China partly offset strength across the rest of Asia.

TT Generates Strong Free Cash Flow
