Interparfums recently announced its third-quarter sales results, which remained flat year over year, as strength in European-based operations was offset by softer U.S.-based performance and challenging market conditions.

Taking a Look at IPAR’s Q3 Sales

Interparfums reported net sales of $430 million for the third quarter, unchanged from the year-ago period. For the first nine months of 2026, consolidated net sales increased 1% year over year to $1,115 million from $1,102 million. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East created a 1% sales headwind in the quarter and a 2% impact during the first nine months.

Europe-based operations remained a key growth driver, with third-quarter sales increasing 4% to $306 million from $295 million in the prior-year period. The improvement reflected 3% organic growth and a 1% contribution from new brands, partially offset by a 1% currency headwind. Sales for the first nine months advanced 1% to $789 million.

U.S.-based operations witnessed a 7% sales decline to $127 million from $137 million a year earlier. Supply-chain disruptions delayed approximately $10 million in giftset shipments, shifting the related sales into the fourth quarter. Excluding these delays, quarterly sales would have remained unchanged. Despite the setback, nine-month sales increased 3% to $336 million, supported by 2% organic growth and a favorable currency movement of 1%. Excluding the impact of the delayed giftset shipments, sales would have increased 6%.

Things to Know Ahead of IPAR’s Q3 Earnings

Interparfums' third-quarter performance is likely to have been pressured by challenging market conditions in Europe, geopolitical disruptions in the Middle East and supply-chain issues. Weakness in Donna Karan/DKNY and Ferragamo, partly due to the timing of product launches, added pressure. Moreover, higher advertising investments, royalty expenses and logistics costs might have weighed on operating margins, despite potential benefits from tariff refunds and cost efficiencies. We expect gross margin to decrease 60 basis points in the third quarter of 2026.

However, Interparfums is likely to have benefited from resilient demand for prestige fragrances and continued product innovation. Strong momentum across Coach and Montblanc, supported by successful fragrance extensions, alongside growth in Jimmy Choo, Lacoste, GUESS and Roberto Cavalli, might have provided support. Expanding digital commerce, targeted marketing initiatives and improving inventory efficiency might have further supported business performance during the quarter.
