Spirit Airlines, Inc. (SAVE - Free Report) launched non-stop flights, connecting Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO) at Cali in Columbia. The flights, operational since Dec 20, operate on a daily basis. Aided by strong demand in this route, the new flights are anticipated to draw substantial traffic and in turn, boost the carrier’s passenger revenues.
Apart from boosting connectivity with South Florida, this non-stop service to Cali also provides an opportunity for its citizens to explore more destinations in the United States. In fact, Spirit Airlines currently serves the Colombian cities of Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín and Armenia along with this recently initiated service to Cali.
In addition to the latest service, the carrier sponsored an event at the Deportivo Cali Stadium for the young soccer players and provided 300 soccer balls in a bid to encourage the young players to attain their athletic goals.

These flights are likely to be effective from Feb 14, 2019. Moreover, Spirit Airlines recently unveiled plans to add Indianapolis, Indiana and Austin to its network as well as introduce new routes to and from Myrtle Beach, SC.
