ADTRAN, Inc. (ADTN - Free Report) recently inked an agreement with ATC Communications, a family-owned rural local exchange carrier in Central Nebraska, to offer its SmartRG end-to-end network management solution to improve the broadband connectivity of the latter. This end-to-end device management and analytics tools solution is expected to improve subscriber experience and resolution time, thereby strengthening ADTRAN’s position as a leading provider of next-generation open networking solutions.
ADTRAN will deploy the SmartRG full suite of software for ATC, including SmartRG Device Manager and SmartRG Smart Analytics. SmartRG Device Manager enables safe and remote configuration of network, utilizing a secure cloud-based deployment, while SmartRG Home Analytics facilitates operators to receive real-time and historical analysis of home network connectivity issues, with data collected directly from customer premises equipment. Consequently, the SmartRG solution will offer unique visibility on common Wi-Fi and bandwidth-related issues, security vulnerabilities, as well as market trends across the subscriber base.
In addition, customers will be better equipped to diagnose issues on their own by monitoring the dashboard for connectivity across the house and identifying devices that consume higher bandwidth. This, in turn, will help ATC provide a robust broadband solution with superior support facilities and simplified end-user management.
ADTRAN is focused on being a top global supplier of Access infrastructure and related value-added solutions from the Cloud Edge to the Subscriber Edge through a broad portfolio of flexible hardware and software network solutions. These products enable customers to transition to the fully converged, scalable, highly automated, cloud-controlled voice, data, Internet and video network of the future.
The company has enabled service providers to leverage the ADTRAN Mosaic Software-Defined Access architecture which combines modern Web-scale technologies with open-source platforms to facilitate rapid innovation in multi-technology, multi-vendor environments. The Mosaic cloud platform and Mosaic OS, combined with programmable network elements, provide operators with a highly agile, open-services architecture. This allows operators to better compete with the Web-scale competition by reducing the time and cost to launch service, technologies and best-of-breed suppliers, as they strive to reduce operational costs while creating and deploying differentiated product offerings.
