Real Time Insight

The stock market is talking to you.  Are you listening?

In the hustle and bustle of the everyday world, many investors don't stop and listen to what the market is saying to them.  The message is loud and clear on days like today, but many miss what the message is.

As a market professional for more than 16 years, I have picked up on several key ideas, and this is one of the best.  It is so good that I hesitate to even share it!

On days like today, with the market down a sizeable amount at the open and then recovering I make sure I take a look at all stocks.  Not just the ones that are going down, you will see plenty of those.  Not just the ones that are blistering higher on a deal like Questcor (QCOR), but all stocks.

The market shows me which stocks are really interesting to big time players, as they are buying those stocks en masse on a day like today.  So which stocks are those?  It is the 3-5% positive gainers like Immersion (IMMR - Snapshot Report) that see strength while the broader market is selling off.

Why are those stocks up? Large investors see this day as a chance to load up on the name or names that are of most interest.  But are all those stocks ones you should buy?  Of course not, but a day like this is a great "screen" day, where you can see if the stocks you have been interested in are also of interest to big buyers.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, let me know what stocks you see that are up in that special 3-5% range that you think could have legs.  I started it off with IMMR, so give me one idea that you like of late that is seeing buying today!
