George Putnam Balanced Fund Class Y (PGEYX - Free Report) aims to provide both capital appreciation and current income. The fund seeks to offer a balanced investment, which comprises a well-diversified portfolio of stocks and bonds. PGEYX has three-year annualized returns of 5.4%.

PGEYX has an expense ratio of 0.74% compared with the category average of 0.82%. 

Putnam Income Fund Class A (PINCX - Free Report) seeks high current income consistent with prudent risk. The fund invests the majority of its assets in bonds and other obligations of companies and governments globally, denominated in U.S. dollars, are either investment-grade or below investment-grade and have intermediate- to long-term maturities. PINCX has three-year annualized returns of 4.8%.
