Numerous companies have hinted at significant declines in gain-on-sale margins across the space. With tighter margins, many originators may struggle to be profitable in the upcoming period.

Servicing Segment to Offer Support: With significant declines in gain-on-sale margins and subdued loan origination volume, industry players are likely to increase their reliance on the service segment for profitability.
