3 Things Blocking Future Stock Gains

Tuesday brought another new closing high at 1519 on a day with no market moving news. However, the rest of the week there will be more meat for investors to chew on.

1) President's State of the Union: Sets the tone for Cliff 2 debates

2) Economic Reports: Retail Sales, Jobless Claims, Empire State Mfg, Industrial Production, Consumer Sentiment

3) Technical Resistance Around 1520: The chartists in house say that is where we have some major trend lines to contend with.

The tenor of the first two points will determine the strength of the technical resistance. Hopefully the President and upcoming economic reports can keep the bullish tone going.
