Strategic Education, Inc. or SEI ( STRA Quick Quote STRA - Free Report) gained 3.34% on Jul 27 after it reported second-quarter 2022. Quarterly earnings and revenues missed their respective Zacks Consensus Estimate and declined on a year-over-year basis. The downside was caused by lower contributions from all three segments. Karl McDonnell, chief executive officer of SEI, stated, “During our second quarter of 2022, demand continued to strengthen in the U.S. within both our U.S. Higher Education and Education Technology Services segments. We remain confident in a return to growth within the Australia/New Zealand segment once international student immigration challenges ease in the region.” Inside The Headlines
