Read MoreHide Full Article

Premium technical service providing company, Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. cemented its long-standing relationship with the U.S. Air Force, by securing a task order worth $204.9 million.

Jacobs diligently tries to boost its top- and bottom-line performance on the back of new contract wins. Over the last one year, shares of this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock yielded a return of 31.44% – outperforming 24.35% gain provided by the Zacks categorized Engineering/R&D Services industry.

Task Details

The U.S. Air Force awarded the $204.9 million task order to Jacobs for supporting its 53rd Wing operations. The total tenure of the order is over four years and nine months, provided all options are exercised.

Per this order, Jacobs would be providing its premium information technology services for weapons and computer systems related to systems development and operational activities.

While the Eglin Air Force Base, FL, would be the chief work site location; additional services would also be offered at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station and the Air Force bases of Lackland, Tyndall, Creech and Nellis.

To Conclude

The booming industrial and manufacturing market in the U.S. is expected to drive demand for Jacobs’ construction services. The company is also poised to grow on the back of sound restructuring moves and growth initiatives. However, the strengthening U.S. dollar, poor pricing conditions in the energy market and stiff industry rivalry remain major causes of concern.

Here's another stock idea to consider. Much like petroleum 150 years ago, lithium power may soon shake the world, creating millionaires and reshaping geo-politics. Soon electric vehicles (EVs) may be cheaper than gas guzzlers. Some are already reaching 265 miles on a single charge.

With battery prices plummeting and charging stations set to multiply, one company stands out as the #1 stock to buy according to Zacks research.

It's not the one you think.
