PYPL's Revenue Growth Reflects Transaction Gains

Transaction revenues increased 3% year over year to $7.71 billion, supported by Braintree, Venmo and favorable foreign exchange movements. Revenues from other value-added services declined 2% to $873 million, primarily due to lower interest earned on customer balances, partially offset by higher credit revenues.

U.S. revenues rose 5% to $5 billion, while international revenues declined 2% to $3.58 billion. On a currency-neutral basis, international revenues fell 4%.

PayPal is also expanding BNPL distribution through merchant partnerships, including Amazon in Germany and Austria, American Eagle, Aerie and Dick's Sporting Goods.

PYPL's Margins Benefit From Expense Discipline
