Generation and Marketing: Operating earnings were $43.1 million, up from $37 million in the year-ago quarter.
 
Corporate & Other: Operating losses were $49.9 million compared with operating losses of $24.4 million registered in the year-ago quarter.
 
Financial Update
 
As of Mar 31, 2019, American Electric had cash and cash equivalents of $227.7 million compared with $234.1 million as of Dec 31, 2018.
 
Long-term debt was $22.90 billion as of Mar 31, 2019, compared with $21.65 billion as of Dec 31, 2018.
 
Cash flow from operations was $808.3 million in the first three months of 2019 compared with $802.2 million in the prior- year period.
