On today’s episode of the Friday Finish Line podcast, Content Writer Ryan McQueeney and Editor Maddy Johnson take on this week’s biggest story: the highly-anticipated earnings results from three big tech giants, as well as a preview of Super Bowl LI, the biggest television extravaganza of the year.

The first earnings report that Maddy and Ryan highlighted came from Apple Inc. (AAPL - Free Report) . The iPhone maker beat estimates on both the top and bottom lines, posting all-time record revenue growth for the quarter. Apple also smashed iPhone sales estimates, showing year-over-year growth after three consecutive quarters of declines.

Next up was Facebook’s fourth quarter earnings report. The social media giant again posted impressive earnings and revenue results, beating expectations on both fronts. Facebook also saw continued daily and monthly user growth, as well as a huge bump in mobile advertising revenue.

The hosts then moved on to recap Amazon’s (AMZN - Free Report) fourth quarter earnings. The e-commerce king reported mixed results, beating earnings estimates but failing to top revenue expectations. Amazon’s Amazon Web Services, however, continued to impress, showing strong year-over-year growth.
