Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in inflation-adjusted bonds, including inflation-indexed bonds and other debt securities issued by the U.S. Treasury, other U.S. government agencies and instrumentalities, and other issuers such as corporations and foreign governments. It may also invest a portion of assets in traditional U.S. Treasury, U.S. government agency, or other non-U.S. government securities that are not inflation-indexed. The fund primarily holds investment-grade securities but may buy some high-yield bonds, with no maturity or duration limits. It may invest in foreign-currency securities, use when-issued and forward commitments (up to 35% of total assets), and use derivatives, bank loans, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, and collateralized obligations.
