Fund Description

The fund is a fund of funds that invests in affiliated mutual funds managed by Lord Abbett. Through the underlying funds, it indirectly invests in equity securities of U.S. and foreign micro-cap, small, and mid-sized companies using a blend strategy for exposure to growth and value stocks. Underlying funds may hold common and preferred stocks, equity interests in trusts (including REITs and privately offered trusts), and interests in partnerships, joint ventures, LLCs, and similar vehicles. Foreign exposure may include emerging markets and depositary receipts such as ADRs. The fund may also invest directly in derivatives for investment strategies or risk management, generally for non-hedging purposes; the market value of directly held derivatives positions (determined at the time of the most recent position established) will not exceed 50% of the fund's net assets; this limitation excludes assets indirectly invested in derivatives through the underlying funds. Management uses a bottom-up approach emphasizing long-term value and may reallocate holdings or take temporary defensive positions.
