Fund Description

The fund pursues opportunistic growth by investing globally in companies the adviser believes can benefit from sustainable themes aligned with one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals, including advancement of climate, health and empowerment. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of net assets are invested in equity securities of issuers worldwide meeting sustainability criteria, including that an issuer deriving at least 25% of its total revenues from activities consistent with the achievement of the SDGs meets the sustainability criteria. The adviser uses top-down theme selection and bottom-up analysis of earnings growth, valuation, management quality and ESG factors, and excludes companies with direct revenue involvement in specified industries. It typically invests in mid- to large-cap companies across developed and emerging markets with significant non-U.S. exposure, and may use ETFs, REITs, zero-coupon bonds, synthetic foreign equities, currency-related derivatives to hedge all or a portion of currency risk and to take long or short positions in currencies, and other derivatives transactions (such as options, futures, forwards and swaps) that may be used to earn extra income, adjust exposure to securities or markets, or protect all or a portion of the portfolio from a decline in value.
