The fund seeks to take advantage of investment opportunities generated by changes in global trade patterns and economic and political relationships by investing in common stocks of companies located around the world. It invests primarily in common stocks the investment adviser believes have growth potential. Assets are managed using a multiple-portfolio-manager system, with the portfolio divided into segments run by individual managers. The adviser relies on professional judgment, aiming to invest in attractively valued companies viewed as good long-term opportunities, and may sell securities deemed no longer relatively attractive.
