Fund Description
The fund was incepted in June 1992 and is managed by Smith Barney Fund Management. The objective of the fund is to provide high current income and to limit the degree of fluctuation of its net asset value (NAV) resulting from movements in interest rates. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in adjustable rate securities that include U.S. government securities. The fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in short duration corporate and U.S. government fixed rate debt securities. Dividends from income are paid monthly. The fund generally makes capital gain distributions, if any, once a year, typically in December.
