Fund Description
The fund was incepted in May 1987 and is managed by A I M Advisor, Inc. This fund's main objective is to generate a high level of tax-exempt income as is consistent with the preservation of capital by investing in high quality, intermediate-term Municipal Securities having a maturity of 10 1/2 years or less. The fund normally invests, at least 80% of net assets in securities that generate income that is not subject to regular tax rules and that is not subject to the alternative minimum tax rules. The dividends are declared on each business day and paid monthly. The fund generally distributes long term and short term capital gains, if any, annually.
