Fund Description

The fund invests primarily in a focused international portfolio of equity securities of companies the Adviser believes can benefit from sustainable investment themes aligned with one or more United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, such as the advancement of climate, health and empowerment. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of net assets are invested in equity securities of issuers outside the U.S. meeting its sustainability criteria, including issuers deriving at least 25% of revenues from SDG-consistent activities. The Adviser uses top-down theme selection and bottom-up analysis of earnings growth, valuation, management quality and ESG factors, and excludes companies with revenue from specified activities such as adult entertainment, alcohol, cannabis, coal, controversial weapons, firearms, gambling, GMOs, military contracting, prisons or tobacco. The fund invests across developed and emerging markets, typically in at least three non-U.S. countries, and may invest in U.S. companies with international exposure. The Adviser may seek to hedge currency exposure using currency-related derivatives, and the fund may enter into other derivatives transactions, including options strategies, which may be used to earn extra income, adjust exposure to individual securities or markets, or protect all or a portion of the portfolio from a decline in value, sometimes within certain ranges. The Adviser may also seek investment opportunities by taking long or short positions in currencies through the use of currency-related derivatives.
