Fund Description

The fund seeks exposure to multiple asset classes under an asset allocation framework developed by Northern Trust's Investment Policy Committee, including small-, mid- and large-cap stocks, real estate, commodity-related securities, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, and fixed income (including high yield and money market instruments). It primarily invests in underlying mutual funds and ETFs, including those advised by its adviser or affiliates, and may also invest directly in securities, money market instruments, and derivatives (such as forwards, futures and options on futures) for hedging. It may invest in U.S. and foreign issuers, including emerging markets, across at least three countries. NTI monitors the fund daily to help ensure it is invested pursuant to the current asset allocation framework, and reviews the asset allocation framework and recommended allocations at least monthly, or more frequently as needed, to consider adjusting allocations based on evolving investment views and changing market and economic conditions. There is no limit on the number of underlying funds, no required minimum or maximum by asset class, and active trading may occur.
