Fund Description

The fund was incepted in December 1999 and is managed by UBS Global Asset Management (Americas) Inc. The fund seeks current income consistent with the preservation of capital. To pursue this goal, the fund invests in a diversified portfolio of corporate bonds and securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or instrumentalities. The fund also invests primarily in 'investment grade' corporate bonds and up to 15% of its total assets in bonds rated below investment grade and also in certain other debt securities. The fund declares income dividends daily and pays it monthly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
