Fund Description

The fund invests in financial instruments that ProFund Advisors believes, in combination, should produce daily returns consistent with its Daily Target, providing leveraged exposure to an index of biotechnology companies in the S&P Total Market Index selected by GICS and equal-weighted with liquidity adjustments, with the Index's composition and assigned weights reevaluated every September, with additional weight adjustments in March, June, and December. Under normal circumstances, it obtains leveraged exposure to at least 80% of total assets in index components or similar instruments, using equity securities and derivatives such as swap agreements, while cash linked to derivatives is typically held in high-quality money market instruments such as U.S. Treasury bills and repurchase agreements. It seeks to remain fully invested and rebalances daily.
