Fund Description

The fund was incepted in January 2002 and is managed by Calvert Asset Management Company. The fund seeks to maximize income to the extent consistent with prudent investment management and preservation of capital, through investment in short term bonds and other income producing securities. The fund uses an active strategy, seeking relative value to earn incremental income. The fund typically invests at least 65% of its assets in investment grade debt securities. Under normal circumstances, the fund's average portfolio duration ranges from one to three years. Dividends are distributed monthly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed once a year.
