Fund Description

The fund invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of net assets plus borrowings in high dividend-paying securities of companies across all capitalizations tied to emerging market countries by organization, assets, or revenues; high dividend-paying generally means a yield above the average of equity securities in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. It invests substantially all assets in common stocks and depositary receipts, but can also hold convertible debt, equity ETFs, warrants, rights, REITs, MLPs, and preferred stocks. It intends to diversify by country and limits exposure to 30% in any one country at purchase. It may selectively write covered call options for income. The fund will not engage in derivatives except to the extent that the writing of covered call options and/or participatory notes is deemed to involve derivatives.
