Fund Description
The fund was incepted in February 1984 and is managed by Pacific Financial Research, Inc. The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth and capital preservation. The fund seeks to achieve its objectives by concentrating investments in securities that, in the opinion of the adviser, are significantly undervalued. The fund looks for companies whose current price does not reflect the long-term intrinsic value of the business enterprise itself. Among such investments, the fund emphasizes on the purchase of common stock, convertible long-term corporate debt obligations, convertible preferred stock, and warrants that the adviser believes are undervalued and appear to offer the potential of furthering the fund's goal of long-term capital growth. Dividends and capital gains are distributed annually.
