Fund Description
The fund was incepted in September1997 and is managed by Cohen & Steers Capital Management, Inc. The fund seeks high current income through investment in real estate securities. Capital appreciation is a secondary investment objective. The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in common stocks and other equity securities issued by real estate companies, such as real estate investment trusts (REITs). A real estate company generally derives at least 50% of its revenue from real estate or has at least 50% of its assets in real estate. The fund distributes dividends quarterly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed annually in December.
