Fund Description
The fund was incepted in July 2002 and is managed by Credit Suisse Asset Management. The fund seeks to maximize total return to the extent consistent with prudent investment and the preservation of capital. To pursue this objective the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in bonds. Normally the fund maintains an average duration of between one and three years. The fund invests in bonds having a remaining life at the time of purchase of 10 years or less. The management team emphasizes investment-grade securities and may invest without limit in U.S. dollar-denominated foreign securities. However, the fund may invest, to a lesser extent, in non-U.S. dollar denominated securities. The fund declares dividends monthly and capital gains annually, in December.
