Fund Description

The fund pursues its objectives through a hybrid research process combining quantitative and qualitative criteria. The Advisor uses the proprietary Zacks Rank model to assess a large stock universe based primarily on changing patterns of earnings estimates, aiming to identify companies most likely to see positive earnings estimate revisions. From a smaller group of highly ranked stocks (about 300), the portfolio manager selects securities with strong earnings potential using bottom-up valuation metrics. Portfolio construction applies modern portfolio theory with strict risk controls. It invests primarily in equity securities, emphasizing U.S. issuers, may also invest in Canadian issuers and ADRs, diversifies across more than a dozen sectors and over 200 industry groups, may concentrate in one or more sectors at times, and may lend securities to earn additional income.
