Fund Description

The fund was incepted in May 1995 and is managed by Deutsche Asset Management Investment Services Ltd. (London, UK). The fund seeks capital appreciation by investing primarily in stocks and other securities with equity characteristics of companies located in the developed countries that make up the MSCI EAFE Index. Using intensive research capabilities, the team narrows the investment universe to 30 to 40 companies in which it has the strongest conviction. These names are included in this very concentrated or 'select' portfolio. The fund management uses a bottom-up approach only, with no active allocation among countries, regions or industries. The fund offers dividends and capital gains annually.
