Fund Description

The fund invests substantially all of its assets in a series designed to provide broad market coverage of smaller companies associated with emerging markets, which may include frontier markets authorized for investment. It uses an integrated approach emphasizing long-term drivers of expected returns while balancing risk through diversification across companies, sectors, and countries, and manages trading costs with a flexible trading process. The series, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of net assets in Approved Market securities of small companies, and may emphasize smaller capitalization, lower relative price, and/or higher profitability stocks, while adjusting exposures based on shorter-term considerations. It may use depositary receipts, China A-shares, and variable interest entities, and may use futures, options on futures, foreign currency transactions, and securities lending.
