The fund invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of equity securities issued by non-U.S. companies from at least three different countries, including emerging markets. It maintains a policy of investing at least 80% of its net assets in these equity securities, which encompass common stocks, depositary receipts, preferred stocks, and convertible securities. It may employ various strategies to hedge currency exposure and manage equity risks, including currency forward contracts, swaps, equity options, and stock index futures. Investment selection focuses on medium to large well-established companies deemed temporarily undervalued by the market, with considerations for financial strength, long-term growth prospects, and qualitative factors such as management competence and ESG issues.
