Fund Description

Incepted in October 1976, this fund is managed by Dreyfus Corporation. The objective of this fund is to seek current income exempt from federal income tax, to the extent consistent with the preservation of capital. The fund invests at least 75% of its assets in municipal bonds rated A or better as determined by Dreyfus. The fund may also invest up to 25% of its assets in municipal bonds rated below A or the unrated equivalent as determined by Dreyfus, including bonds of below investment grade credit quality. The fund offers dividends every month and capital gains annually.
