Fund Description

The fund was incepted in August 2001 and is managed by Dimensional Fund Advisors Inc. The fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests its net assets in equity securities of U.S. companies. The fund generally invests in a broad and diverse group of the common stocks of companies traded on a principal U.S. exchange or on the over-the-counter market. The fund seeks to minimize the impact of federal taxes on returns by deferring the realization of net capital gains and minimizing the receipt of dividend income in order to minimize the taxable distributions to investors. Dividends and capital gains are distributed annually.
