Fund Description
The fund was incepted in December 1997 and is managed by United States Trust Company of New York and U.S. Trust Company. The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of companies located in emerging market countries. While the fund generally invests in companies in a variety of countries, industries and sectors, the adviser does not attempt to invest a specific percentage of the fund's assets in a given country or industry. Dividends are distributed semi-annually. Capital gains, if any, are distributed annually.
