Fund Description

The fund was incepted in November 1935 and is managed by T. Row Price Associates. The objective of this fund is to seek long-term total return through capital growth and current income. The fund invests in both common and preferred stocks of large U.S. companies (i.e., companies whose market capitalization fall within the range tracked by the S&P 500 Index, at the time of purchase). In addition, the fund seeks to maintain a weighted average market capitalization that falls within the range of the S&P 500 Index. The fund invests at least 25%of its assets in debt securities, including both secured and unsecured bonds and debentures. The fund offers dividends quarterly. The fund distributes capital gains annually.
