Fund Description

The fund normally invests a majority of assets in common stocks, focusing on companies that pay current dividends and offer potential for capital appreciation. It may also invest in bonds, including lower-quality, high-yield ("junk") debt, and in stocks not currently paying dividends but offering prospects for future income or capital appreciation. Investments may include domestic and foreign issuers and may be in growth stocks, value stocks, or both. Security selection uses fundamental analysis of issuer financial condition, industry position, and market and economic conditions.
