Fund Description

The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of companies with medium market capitalizations, generally defined as those similar to companies in the Russell Midcap Index or the S&P MidCap 400 Index. Derivative instruments providing exposure to these investments or related market risk factors are included in the 80% policy, consistent with the fund's derivatives policies and limitations. The fund normally invests primarily in common stocks, may invest in smaller or larger companies, and can invest in domestic and foreign issuers. It may invest in growth stocks, value stocks, or both, using fundamental analysis of issuers and market and economic conditions.
