Fund Description

The fund invests primarily in common stocks, normally committing at least 80% of assets to securities of companies with small market capitalizations, generally defined as firms with market caps similar to those in the Russell 2000 Index or the S&P SmallCap 600 Index. Derivative instruments that provide exposure to these investments or related market risk factors are included in the 80% policy, consistent with the fund's policies and limitations. It may invest in domestic and foreign issuers and can hold growth stocks, value stocks, or both, using fundamental analysis of issuers' financial condition, industry position, and market and economic conditions.
