Fund Description

The fund was incepted in January 1987 and is managed by Franklin Advisory Services. The objective of this fund is long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities of financially sound companies that have paid consistently rising dividends, and that have increased dividends at least 100% over the last 10 years. The fund does not necessarily focus on companies whose securities pay a high dividend rate but rather on companies that consistently increase their dividends. The fund offers dividends quarterly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed annually.
