Fund Description

The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets and other investments tied economically to emerging markets, and in shares of other emerging markets equity funds. Emerging markets include countries with emerging stock markets as defined by MSCI, low- to middle-income economies as classified by the World Bank, and other markets the adviser identifies as having similar characteristics. It normally invests primarily in common stocks and allocates across different emerging markets countries. It implements strategies directly through sub-advisers and indirectly through underlying funds, including affiliated and non-affiliated funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds. Derivative instruments that provide investment exposure to these investments or to one or more market risk factors associated with such investments are included in the fund's 80% policy, consistent with the fund's investment policies and limitations with respect to investments in derivatives.
