Fund Description
The fund was incepted in March 1984 and is managed by Federated Investment Management Company. The fund's investment objective is to provide current income. The fund invests in a diversified, short-term portfolio of direct obligations of the U.S. government, its agencies and instrumentalities. The fund maintains a dollar-weighted average portfolio duration that is within 20% of the weighted average portfolio duration of the Merrill Lynch 1-3 Year Treasury Index. This index includes U.S. Treasury securities with maturities greater than or equal to one year and less than three years. The fund offers dividends monthly and capital gains annually.
