Fund Description
The fund was incepted in April 2000 and is managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The fund seeks a high level of current income that is exempt from regular federal income tax and may also consider the potential for capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 65% of its total assets in high-yield municipal securities that, at the time of purchase, are medium quality or non-investment grade. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal securities, the interest on which is exempt from regular federal income tax. Dividends are declared daily and paid monthly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
