Fund Description

The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in companies economically tied to markets not treated as developed markets in the MSCI World Index. Securities are selected using proprietary quantitative methods that evaluate company financial and price-related metrics, patterns such as price movement or volatility, and macroeconomic factors, alongside considerations including position size, sector/industry and country/region exposure, currencies, market capitalization, benchmark risk, liquidity, and transaction costs; ESG criteria may also be considered. It generally avoids companies tied to cluster munitions and those primarily involved in thermal coal mining/production, typically seeks to limit portfolio carbon intensity to no more than the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, may use derivatives and ETFs for long or short exposure, may lend securities, and under normal circumstances invests at least 80% of assets in emerging markets companies. It may also invest in a U.S. Treasury fund and unaffiliated money market funds.
