Fund Description

The fund invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes in dividend-paying equity investments of large-cap U.S. issuers, primarily through a diversified portfolio of common stocks. It uses quantitative techniques with a qualitative overlay, and the adviser may deviate from proprietary model outputs or change techniques. To generate additional cash flow and may reduce volatility, it sells call options on the S&P 500 Index or other national or regional stock market indices (or related ETFs) and, under normal circumstances, expects to sell call options in an amount between 20% and 75% of the value of the fund's portfolio. Fixed income exposure is limited to cash equivalents, and it seeks to avoid or minimize net short-term capital gains. Performance is measured against the S&P 500 Index and Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index.
