Fund Description

The fund seeks capital appreciation by investing primarily in common stocks selected for growth potential. Under normal circumstances, its sub-adviser, Wellington Management Company LLP, invests at least 80% of assets in common stocks of small capitalization companies, defined as those with market capitalizations within the collective range of the Russell 2000 and S&P SmallCap 600 Indices. It may invest up to 20% of net assets in securities of foreign issuers and non-dollar securities and may trade securities actively. Depending on market or economic conditions, it may focus in one or more sectors through its bottom-up stock selection process. Wellington Management uses fundamental analysis, assessing growth sustainability and magnitude, quality, valuation, and management quality.
